New Buckingham restaurant

I’m very pleased to see the opening of Bucca, a new restaurant in Buckingham replacing Halibut. Supporting the town centre as a centre of commerce, trade, entertainment and eating in North Bucks is critical, and I welcome any thoughts and ideas how the county council can play its part.

Buckingham’s bypass – A421/A422

I have been pushing for a strategic review of Buckingham’s A421 bypass since I led the Buckingham Plan 2008, and it is again being promoted as a key part of Buckingham’s long-term future in the new 2013 Neighbourhood Plan. Should I be elected, it will be  one of my key priorities to include the A421, and the possible 1km extension to the A422 west, as part of the county council’s strategic transport plans. It is without doubt a very significant investment, so the route needs good planning now so that its impact can be minimised and benefits maximised for Buckingham and the surrounding villages.

Buckingham’s Cinema

The Film Place is a great asset for a small market town to have, and now with better sound and a new larger screen, it is well worth a visit if you’ve not been for a while. Great films for April… http://www.thefilmplace.org.uk
